5.5 Wedding Things The Magazines Don’t Tell You Because It Ain’t About The Pretty

1) Have Fun –  A wedding should be a party and a celebration, this includes the wedding breakfast

2) Invite Who You Want – This isn’t your parents day, it’s yours.  Invite (or don’t) who the hell you like.

3) Do The Speeches First – We’ve been to so many weddings where the father of the bride and the groom don’t touch the food because they are so nervous about the speeches.  Get them out of the way first.

4)The Venue Works For You – I hear too many stories where the venue won’t let you do this, won’t let you do that.  Before you confirm your venue, double check your t&cs so you can have the wedding you want.

5) Memories Matter – I’ve looked at my wedding picture album a couple of times, watched the video once but the memories of our day stay ingrained in my mind forever.  Spend the cash on the fun things that will make you and your guests laugh.

5.5) Get Wedding Insurance – Before you do anything, get wedding insurance.  You wouldn’t spend thousands on a car and not insure it so why would you do the same with your wedding day?
